Any politician who says the economy is good should ask the 3,000 folks that just got let go at my place. I think they would disagree.
Packages Vs. Job
There's a lot of talk around the office about holding out until the severance package is available (your last day) or if a person should look for and take a job if one is made available to him or her.
That package better be really great if you're going to avoid a potential full time job that offers long term security vs. a package which most likely doesn't. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
